The 1975

The 1975 visited Studio 001 for their production rehearsals at the back end of last year in preparation for their forthcoming tour which begins in March.

Here are a few things you might not know about them....
1. They won the NME 'Worst Band' Award in 2014
2. They have been nominated for the 2016 NME 'Best British Band' Award
3. They have supported Muse and The Rollings Stones
4. The title for their new album is 'I Like It When You Sleep for You are so Beautiful Yet So Unaware of it' and it broke the record for the longest ever album title!

We supplied the risers for this tour

The 1975 kicked off their UK tour last week, with four days at London’s Brixton Academy, before moving on to three dates at the Apollo in Manchester.

Production Park residents Brilliant Stages provided bespoke screens for the shows with Production Park friends LS-Live providing the risers for the tour. The screens consist of four screen towers, which add a 3D effect to the performance, as well as the three iconic yet simple squares representing the 1975’s logo and branding - these hang above the stage displaying different lighting coloured patterns!

The 1975’s album went straight to number 1 in the charts after its release on February 26th. Incidentally, the album also earned the band their first US number 1!
A further interesting fact that you may be unaware of is that The 1975 will go into the record books for the longest number 1 album title – ‘I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It.’
